We had the opportunity to work with the INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) team on the preservation and conservation of Bangalore Fort.
INTACH frequently educates children aged 7 to 10 about the Bangalore fort, and as an illustrator, I realized that I could make a children's book about one of the most important events that happened on the fort: "The breach of the fort."
Throughout the book, I used a monotone blue for various reasons. First, it was to signify the tragedy of the event, and second, if the book was to be widely distributed, I wanted the quality of the illustrations to remain intact regardless of the type of printer or paper used.
